Mass a Christian Burial for Alicia Ross age 24 of Valentine will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 10:00 AM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Valentine. Burial will follow at Ascension Chapel Cemetery near Millboro, SD. Rosary will be recited at 7:00PM on Tuesday at the Church in Valentine. Visitation will be at 2:00PM on Tuesday at Sandoz Chapel of the Pines in Valentine. Alicia passed away on Sept. 7th in an automobile accident near Valentine.

Alicia Marie Ross was born in O'Neill, Nebraska on May 17, 1989. She passed away September 7, 2013. Alicia grew up on the ranch at Millboro, South Dakota. She attended grade school at Beaver Creek, a one room school, with all the neighbor kids as her friends. Alicia attended high school at Valentine Rural High School. She attended Pratt Community College, Pratt, KS on a rodeo scholarship, obtaining her Associate Degree. After college she worked for Kansas Department of Wildlife Parks and Tourism in Pratt, KS.
Family and friends were very important to her. In May 2013 she moved "Back Home" to the people and country she loved. Alicia was currently working at the Middle Niobrara Natural Resources District in Valentine, NE.
In her free time she enjoyed going to the ranch to rope and ride horses. She was always eager to help out, and branding time was one of her favorites. She often celebrated her birthday this way. She dearly loved her little dog Jupiter, affectionately known to her as Jupy. They were inseparable.
