Carl Raymond Lurz was born February 20, 1937 in Valentine Nebraska and passed away Monday, January 3, 2022 at Great Plains Health, North Platte Nebraska.

The third born child of seven, Carl attended Crookston Grade School until eighth grade, when he left school to assist on the family ranch.  Carl lived a simple life-he enjoyed listening to music, as it wasn't uncommon to hear him humming a tune.  Not unlike any other bachelor, he enjoyed home cooked meals. He appreciated the change of seasons- especially the arrival of spring and renewal of life.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents Herbert & Ida (Schultz), brother Melvin & sisters Arlene & Violet

Carl is survived by his brother Harold (Sandy) of Valentine, brother Gene of Lakeview, and sister Ruby Luttrell (Doyle) of Tipton, Indiana, along with four nieces, three nephews, several great nieces and nephews, and cousins

Graveside service for Carl Lurz, age 84 of Valentine will be held on Saturday, Jan. 8 at 2:00 PM at the Harmony Cemetery north of Valentine.  Mr. Lurz passed away on Jan. 3, 2022 in North Platte.

No Visitation will be held.
