Cindy Rae Osburn was born April 24, 1966 in York, NE. She found her Freedom with God on July 4, 2016.
Cindy attended Elementary, Middle and High School in Valentine, NE. She made many lifetime friends during these years. She then went on to continue her education in Kearney, NE and Graduated at the University of Nebraska Lincoln with a Degree in journalism. After graduating UNL Cindy started her career in NE. She then moved on to Fort Collins, CO where she made her home for over 20 years.
During those years, Cindy made many caring and wonderful friends, some who became as close to her as family. She enjoyed spending time with them at pool parties, BUNKO; concerts; trips to the mountains and lakes of Northern Colorado and lots more fun activities. Cindy also enjoyed traveling to various sunny beaches and back to Nebraska to visit her family and friends. She was very involved in the Fort Collins Jay Cees and later in the Homelessness Prevention Initiative.
Cindy held a special place in her heart for her nieces Kailyn and Lauren and her nephews Jason and Sam. She was the "most fun" Aunt to Kailyn & Jason. Always bringing little gifts and crafts. Having them come stay with her in the summer where she would take them to see the sights of Colorado and enjoy picnics, swimming and hiking. Three years ago little Samuel Fox Osburn came into the family. He gave her much happiness and was such a blessing during her illness. She always had a spark in her eye for him. And now the singing, dancing Fox she gave to Sam reminds us of the joy she gave to all of us.
Cindy will be remembered for her strong and independent spirit, her beautiful smile, her sense of humor; for being a Loving Daughter, Sister and Aunt; and for the happiness she brought to the many lives that she touched.
She was preceded in Death by her Father Jim Osburn.
Cindy is survived by her Mother Mary Belle Osburn; her cat Curly Q Osburn; Sister Lynn and husband Randy Graeff; Brother Jay Dee Osburn and fiance' Regina Braun - all of Valentine. Nieces Kailyn and husband Matt Sebron of Omaha, NE.; Lauren Braun of Norfolk, NE. Nephews Jason Graeff and Samuel Osburn of Valentine. The Hanson family and many beloved Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and friends.
The Family would like to give a special Thank you to all the helpful and caring Colorado friends who went the extra mile for Cindy:
