Obituary

Dona Jean Anderson Ramm was born July 20, 1924 in rural Butte, NE to Julian and Clara
Peterson Anderson. She passed away at the Tabitha Living Community in Lincoln on August
15, 2015.

Dona attended school in Long Pine, NE, and graduated valedictorian in 1942. She then
attended the University of Nebraska school of Nursing and graduated in 1946. With her
Registered Nurse degree in hand, she worked 3 years. She married Eugene Ramm on
September 7, 1949 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Long Pine. To this union 8 children were
born.

Dona loved to play the piano and taught many young people to play. She enjoyed playing for
community events and for many years played the organ for Sunday Mass. As a lifetime member of the
Girl Scouts, she volunteered as a leader for many years in both Stuart and Valentine and was
involved with VFW 5128. Cultivating flower and vegetable gardens was a daily pleasure for her.

Dona was a sweet, loving and caring person. She will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one infant brother, an infant daughter; brother, Doran Anderson and 2
grandsons. She is survived by her husband Eugene; her children; sons, Thomas Ramm,
Leonard Ramm, daughters, Ann Bruntz, Rosemary Shald, Barbara Ramm, Joan Rupe and Jane
Lacy. Also surviving is brother, Norris Anderson; sister, Mary Lou Moore; sister-in-law,
Mary
Anderson; 20 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial for Dona Ramm age 91 of Lincoln and formally of Valentine will be held on Friday, Aug. 21 at 10:0 AM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Valentine. Burial will follow at the Grandview Cemetery in Long Pine. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Thursday at the church in Valentine. Mrs. Ramm passed away on Aug. 15 in Lincoln. Visitation will begin on Thursday, Aug. 20 at 1:00 PM at Sandoz Chapel of the Pines in Valentine.
