Doris L. Petersen Wrage, 94, of Wood Lake, NE, passed away on February 26, 2014 in Broken Bow, NE.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 3rd at Wood Lake Union Church with Pastor Don Letellier officiating. Burial will follow at Wood Lake Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sandoz Chapel of the Pines.

Doris was born in Johnstown, NE to Martin C.H. Petersen and Freda M. Schulz on August 24, 1919. She graduated from Johnstown High School in 1936 and attended Wayne State College where she received her teaching certificate. She taught country school in rural Cherry County. She married Mick Wrage on October 13, 1940. Together the owned and operated a ranch south of Wood Lake, NE for more than 30 years. She was a member of the Congregational Church in Ainsworth, NE. She was involved in the Wood Lake Town & Country Club, Brown County Extension Club and was an active member of the BPO DOES. She enjoyed playing cards, shopping, gardening and sewing.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents, husband Mick Wrage, sisters Avalda Adams and Aileen Schlueter.

Doris is survived by daughter Rosemary Overman, son-in-law Bill Overman, daughter Gwen Davidson, sister Jackie Graff (Dean Graff), sister-in-law Shirley Daniels (Noral Daniels), granddaughter Mindy Davidson, granddaughter Brandi Richards and her husband Dave Richards, great-grandsons Ty Case, Bryce Richards, and Landon Richards.

Memorials may be given to Wood Lake Union Church and the Ainsworth Food Pantry.
