Dorothy Ann Quigley was born in Valentine, Nebraska, on October 23, 1941 to Garland "Gale" and Irene "Tiny" (Hutchinson) Lighthill. She passed away in Valentine, Nebraska, August 19th, 2024 at the age of 82 years.

She had many fond memories of growing up with her brother Jim near the Cornell Dam and in Valentine where she completed her high school education.  She went on to work at Sandhills Cattle Association, was a secretary at the Valentine Sheriff's Department, and also worked with her husband, Jim Quigley, at Quigley Law Office.

Dorothy married Jim Quigley on August 16, 1985. They enjoyed traveling, entertaining friends, and spending time at the lake with their grandchildren.

She enjoyed gardening and crocheting. Dorothy was also an excellent cook with many memories made around the dining room table.  Her greatest love was her family, and in later years, she took her children and grandchildren on several memorable vacations.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters: Leesa (Mark) Adamson of Valentine, NE and Jorja (Jeff) Spain of Valentine, NE; 5 grandchildren: Daniel and Lesley Adamson; and Heather (Cliff) Janikowski, Matthew (Sarah) Spain, and Samantha Spain; and two great grandchildren: Callen Janikowski and Jensen Spain.

At Dorothy's request no services are planned.  Sandoz Chapel of the Pines is in charge of arrangements.
