Eletha Louise was born to Leonard and Agnes (Kaplan) Sharp near Sparks, NE on May 15, 1937.

She attended school in Valentine.

On January 7, 1956, Eletha married Herbert Lurz at his mother's house in Valentine.  They made their home north of Valentine where they were engaged in ranching.  This marriage was blessed with two children, Bill and Sharon.

Eletha was a home maker and ranch wife and worked a long side Herbert on the ranch every day.

Eletha enjoyed  playing cards with neighbors and teaching her grandchildren to play. She also enjoyed crocheting and leathercraft.  She was a member of Christian Woman's Club.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Leonard and Agnes, husband Herbert and sister Katherine Fisher. She is survived by son Bill Lurz, daughter Sharon (Robert) Beirow,  grandchildren, Amy Murray, Kim McKinney, Erica Bartels and 7 great grandchildren, sister Eilean Lurz, brother Merle (Ramona) Sharp.

Funeral service for Eletha Lurz age 84 of Valentine will be held on Monday, Dec. 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Sandoz Chapel of the Pines in Valentine.  Burial will follow at Harmony Cemetery north of Valentine.  Visitation will be a noon prior to the service on Monday.  Mrs. Lurz passed away on Dec. 14 at the Long Term Care Center in Bassett.
