Long-time Valentine business woman, Iris Smith, passed away January 31 in Omaha NE.

Born January 22, 1943 to Charley and Margaret (Romey) Frailey of Scottsbluff, NE

Iris married Darrel Smith May 28, 1961 in Winner, SD and to this union 2 daughters, Darla and Rita were born.

She was preceeded in death by husband Darrel, grandson Lance Krisher, and one brother, Lester Frailey.

Survivors include daughter Darla (Ken) Krisher and Rita Reimers, grandsons Brandon (Sara) Reimers of London England, Brenton (Mary) Reimers of Kearney NE, and Ridge (Katie) Krisher of Prairie Du Sac WI.

Great grandchildren Riccardo and Leah Reimers of London England and Hudson Reimers of Kearney NE

One sister, Linda (Gilbert) Randall, and two brothers, Glen and Merle (Kathy) Frailey, all from TX

Iris professed to serve the Lord at a young age and was faithful to this choice to the end of her life.

Funeral service for Iris Smith age 79 of Valentine will be held on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Sandoz Chapel of the Pines.  Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Valentine.  Visitation will be on Friday, Feb. 4, 2022 from 7-9 PM at Sandoz Chapel of the Pines.
