Janet Diane Bachelor Moon was born on June 16 to Clinton and Edith Bachelor in Valentine, NE. at Sandhills General Hospital. She was baptized in the Methodist Church in Valentine in 1957.
She grew up at the Bachelor Ranch in the Littleburg community, attending Littleburg grade school and Valentine grade school and high school at Todd County graduating in 1975. She was active in 4-H and received many awards for her projects and a 4-H conference trip to Kansas City.
After graduating she worked at Pine View Good Samaritan Home for several years, at several cafes in Valentine, and at Walbaums Egg Plant in Wakefield. Several serious illnesses and Parkinson's disease prevented her from working. Her hobbies were puzzle books, coloring, T.V. and enjoying Bingo and Farkle with the residents. She was a very loving, caring person and will be missed by friends and family.
From her marriages she was blessed with two sons; Kristopher James Gentry and Justin Daniel Moon. Janet passed away very peacefully on November 26 at the Cherry County Hospital with her mother, special friend Nicki Senseney and Pastor Toni by her side.
She leave to mourn her loss her mother Edith Bachelor, brother Jack Bachelor, sons Kristopher Gentry and Justin Moon and three grandchildren Kylar, Harpyr and Tuckyr Moon , uncle Richard & Faye Bachelor, Aunt Wilma Kenan plus many family members and friends.
Preceding her in death was her much loved dad Clinton Bachelor, baby brother Harold Wayne Bachelor, grandparents Orin & Frances Bachelor, Howard L& Nettie Hall, Uncle Jerry Bachelor and Uncle Don Kenan.
Funeral service for Janet Moon age 62 of Valentine will be held on Friday, November 30
th
at 2:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in Valentine. Burial will follow at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Valentine. Visitation will be on Thursday at 4:00 PM at Sandoz Chapel of the Pines in Valentine.
