Janis Jean Marshall passed away June 11th at Sandhills Care Center.  Janis was born July 21, 1937, in Mullen Nebraska to Jack and Nadyne Carlson.  Janis married Don on February 14,1956.  They moved from Mullen to the Metz Ranch in Cody in 1969.  In 1994 they moved to town.  Janis was a devoted wife and mother.  Her grandkids were her pride and joy.  A really close second was her love of sports.  Larry Bird, March Madness and anything Huskers.  When she and Don moved to town she became a loyal member of the Farkle gang.  Janis was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Nadyne Carlson, her husband Don Marshall and sister Sandra Long.  Janis is survived by children Taylor (Paula), James (Kathy), Duane (Dana), and Holly (Matt) Fay.  11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life for Janis Marshall will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM MT at the White Elephant Hall in Cody.   Janis's family ask for everyone to wear Husker or casual attire at the service.  A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM MT at the Cedarview Cemetery in Mullen.  Sandoz Chapel of the Pines in Valentine was entrusted with the service arrangements.
