Jeannene Elaine Osborne was born January 5, 1931, near Sparks, Nebraska. She was one of five children and the only girl born to Floyd "Dude" and Oma (Wallace) Osborne.
Jeannene married Emeal Henry Weihe on June 6, 1949 at Valentine, NE. Three children were born to this union, Kathy, Larry and Robert. Jeannene and Emeal made their home in Valentine, where she worked as a waitress for many years. She continued to live in Valentine after her husbands' death in 1987. Jeannene enjoyed fishing and crocheting.
Jeannene went to be with the Lord on February 24, 2012. She had accepted Him as her personal Savior in December 2011, with regrets of not having done so earlier in her life. She enjoyed her last few days on this earth under the loving care of her grandson Cliff Castoral, his wife Denice and their daughter Allyssa, along with her son Larry and his wife Zina While she was in the hospital, rehab, and hospice care in Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her parents Floyd "Dude" and Oma Osborne, her husband Emeal Weihe, daughter Kathy May (Weihe) Castoral and brothers Floyd, Dean and Melford Osborne
Survivors include sons, Rev. Larry L. and Zina Weihe of Hiwasse, Arkansas and Robert Weihe of Norfolk, Nebraska, 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Also surviving is one brother Kenneth Osborne.
Funeral service for Jeannene Weihe was held Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Chapel of the Pines in Valentine. Rev. Larry Weihe officiated at the 10:00 A.M. service.
