Robert E. Nine died early on April 11, 2015 at Rapid City Regional Hospital with his loving family surrounding him.
He is preceded in death by one son, James G. Nine, and his loving wife of over 50 years, Judy G. Nine. He is survived by two daughters, Susie (Grant) Wenker of Maysville, KY and Tina (Chris) Sattler of Rapid City, SD. Three grandchildren, Tyler (Nicole) Paul of Sioux Falls, SD, Shayla Imberi and Kylee Imberi of Rapid City, SD. One great grandchild, Justin James Paul of Sioux Falls, SD, and Bob's loving girlfriend, Darlene Vetter of Hermosa, SD.
Bob grew up in Kilgore, NE. He traveled the world serving in the Navy for over 20 years. He retired in 1973, bringing his wife and 3 children to Rapid City to be closer to family and his home in Kilgore. Bob enjoyed spending time hunting, riding horses, and dancing. He brought such a bright smile and humor to our lives. Bob is very loved and will be greatly missed.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 16 at 1:00 PM at Sandoz Chapel of the Pines in Valentine, NE. Burial will follow at the Kilgore Cemetery in Kilgore, NE. Visitation will be on Thursday, starting at noon, until time of service at Sandoz Chapel of the Pines in Valentine, NE
