Steven Keith Lurz was born September 13th, 1963, in Valentine, NE.  He passed away on October 17th, 2025, at his sister's home in Lyons, NE.

Steve fought a brave battle with pancreatic cancer.  Steve was the beloved son of Lloyd and Barbara Lurz.  Steve was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.  His passing has left a void in the hearts of family, friends and many more whose lives were touched by him.

Steve is survived by four sisters, Debb Daemon (Chuck), Kathy Vietor, Cheryl Woodring (Rich), Terri Worley (Terry) and one brother, Jerry (Lona); 20 nieces and nephews.  He was a loving partner to Betty Kamler and her two children, Trish Worley Kamler and Tammy Dietz.  He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Tracy Main.

Memorial service for Steve Lurz was held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Sandoz Chapel of the Pines in Valentines.  The burial will be held at a later date at the Harmony Cemetery in Bladen, NE.
