Taylor William Rowan age 12 passed away October 24, 2016. He attended 6th grade at Thedford Elementary. He loved playing football, going hunting, and fishing and was an avid computer gamer. He wanted to become a computer graphic specialist. Taylor enjoyed wild pony riding with his friends. He was active in the youth group at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Thedford. Taylor was a well-mannered and polite child, always saying "Yes Ma'am and Sir." He had a big smile, dimples and a contagious laugh.
Taylor was born August 2, 2004 in New Albany, Mississippi. He is survived by his parents; Justin & Liz Sprague and brother Emmett Sprague, Tim and LeAnn Rowan and brothers and sisters; Amber and Hunter Kelly and Lane and Tricia Rowan, grandparents Doug and J. R. Davis, John and Vicki Ackerman, Dale and Jane Sprague, George and Dewane Whitten, and Billy and Brenda Rowan, great grandparents; Jane and the late Don Davis, and Lynn and Delores Townley.
Funeral service for Taylor Rowan was held Saturday, October 29 at 1:00 P.M. at the Thomas County Fair Grounds in Thedford. A wake service was held Friday evening, October 28th from 6-8 with a prayer service at 7PM at the Fair Grounds.
In lieu of flowers the family will be using memorials to establish a scholarship in Taylor's name for Thedford High School, The Taylor Rowan Memorial Scholarship. Sandoz Chapel of the Pines is entrusted with arrangements.
